This Privacy Policy is valid from 6 April 2023.

This Privacy Policy informs You about the way Your personal data is processed by Service Provider. All terms used in the Privacy Policy should be understood as indicated in the Terms and Conditions.

We use Your personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection law, in particular the provisions of the GDPR.

  3. Data Collection and Use

    Phone number
    We collect your phone number to provide you with our services, including verifying your identity and allowing you to see who has searched for your phone number or monitor activity when the app is closed or not in use on Anti-Spoofing Filter
    Approximate information about the location (paid service)
    If someone finds your phone number on the Who Called ME website, information about the approximate location of the search will be displayed in the Application.
    Access to your contacts in you telephone
    You give the Application permission to access your contact list. To display your contact list within our app and enable you to call or send messages, the Application requires your permission to access your contacts. We want to assure you that we do not process any of your contact data in any way. We respect your privacy and do not check, upload, or store any of your contacts on our servers. You can trust that your contact data remains safe and secure with you.
    Access to your messages
    You give the Application permission to access your messages. Access allows you to display information whether messages are sent from a number marked as SPAM or trusted. We do not read your messages, we have no access to the content.
    Wotcha as a default phone handler
    You give the Application permission to control incoming/outgoing calls to check and mark all unknown numbers.
    Wotcha as a default SMS handler
    You give the Application permission to send a verification message during registration.
  4. Data Retention

    We process your phone number and how you use the Services throughout the duration of the Agreement. After you delete your account or otherwise terminate the Agreement, we process data for a period of up to 5 years (for tax purposes) and a period of 2 years for the purposes of establishing, seeking or settlement of possible claims.

    We process your data, including the way you use the Application, for the purpose of resolving a complaint or a technical problem. After this period, information on the support provided is processed for a period of 2 years for the purposes of establishing, seeking or settlement of possible claims.

  5. Who has access to the data?

    Only you can see your contacts and your messages.

    We only have information about your telephone number and the way you use the Application (e.g. what paid Services you bought, how long you used, how many times you searched for a number, how many times your number was searched for).

    We do not profile your data.

    Only authorized employees or cooperating entities have access to data in connection with technical support or complaint handling data.access to data for the proper provision of services, so that you have access to the Services or be properly handled, have access.

  6. Third-Party Services

    We use Google Ads to display targeted ads to users of our app. Google Ads uses cookies and other tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing behavior and interests, and then displays ads that are relevant to you. We do not share any personally identifiable information with Google Ads, and we only use the information collected by Google Ads for the purpose of displaying ads within our app. We do not share any of your personal data with any other third-party services, unless required by law.

  7. User Controls

    You have the right of access to and rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction
    of its processing, the right to object to the processing, the right to file a complaint with the
    supervisory authority, as well as the right to data portability. The supervisory authority in the
    UK is the Information Commissioner Office.

  8. Changes

    The Service Provider reserves the right to amend the Privacy Policy.

    You will be notified about any material change to the Privacy Policy at least 14 days prior to the planned entry of the change into force. In the event of a change to the Privacy Policy, information will be displayed in the Application.
